Jesse Pollak, the head of Base protocol, recently stated in a conference call with ETH founders and developers that based rollups are "both flexible and powerful tools that we will be able to use with Base to tightly integrate it with Ethereum and enhance the security it provides." Ben Jones, a board member of the Optimism Foundation, added that based rollups will improve collaboration between the Ethereum base layer and L2. Several leaders of ETH L2 also support the deployment of 'FABRIC', which is an infrastructure that supports based rollups. In addition, native rollups will improve the way transactions are executed on the base layer, making the network more composable. Ether rollups L2 Taiko CEO Daniel Wang said the protocol is willing to adopt the FABRIC standard to "solve" the interoperability problem of Ethereum, "We have been waiting for the FABRIC standard so that we can work together and provide a complete solution."
